Crime Prevention Wardens

During the beginning of May 2023, Mr Panyaza Lesufi, the Premier of Gauteng, announced with great fanfare that 4000 persons have been trained for three months to form an entity referred to as the “crime prevention wardens” (hereinafter referred to as the “wardens”). According to Mr Lesufi, these wardens will operate in parts of Gauteng.
